Subject: FW: Are you getting a fair contribution to your child's monthly maintenance or do you believe you are paying too much?

Good day,

Are you getting a fair contribution to your child’s monthly maintenance or do you believe you are paying too much?  The following searches will greatly assist in proofing your ex-spouses financial capability in building cases.

For example, a deed search provides mortgaging information, e.g. bond size, and this, in conjunction with the Credit Act stipulations an approximate monthly income may be determined.

In order to do the searches the following information is required:

-         Initials

-         Surname

-         ID Number (Beware that some people do have more than one ID )

I would suggest a deeds search and an ITC search as a starting point.  When suspected that the Ex has business interests, a director search is advisable.  If it is known, remember to advise in which area the person is staying, as there are multiple Deeds Offices in SA, and when the area is supplied, only one search is required.

Below is a description of all searches available:

  • Combined consumer credit report
    • Multiple credit bureau credit report
The multiple credit profile search enables a user to carry out a simultaneous credit search on multiple bureaux on a person. The benefits of this are making certain that all bases are covered. Whether a multiple bureau search or a single one is submitted, the search will go into the "Instant" batch queue and the user will be taken to the transaction analysis list to view the results. You will then see the results that you have asked for. You can either use the right hand, "magnifying glass" to view the individual searches or click on the consolidated view to see the results. A PDF file will be produced within 30 minutes and that can also be downloaded as a neater result layout. The reason it goes into batch is because it is the multiple request and not the individual request, which does not go into batch. We put it into the batch stream, even though the result is returned in generally less than 15 seconds as we do not know if it will return from all sources in the correct timescale.
